Prosthetic devices are not made for the level of motion or activity swimming and diving requires and the attachment of a transitional swimming fin can cause pain and discomfort. An AMP Fin™ custom molded fin is designed to wear on the residual limb. Wearing the custom molded AMP Fin™ directly on the residual limb can increase force and mobility. For those users who are not good candidates for a custom fin, the mechanical fin attaches to the user's current prosthetic socket. The benefits of the mechanical fin are very much the same, allowing for the user to participate in aquatic sports/therapy in a safe manner.

MECHANICAL FIN
The AMP Fin™ design is unique and requires the user to remove his/her existing knee/pylon system to mechanically attach the swim fin. The proximal attachment of the fin can be placed to almost any socket (with either male of female receivers). This is a very simple procedure which will be explained to the user by his/her prosthetist in order to safely maintain alignment.

CUSTOM MOLD FIN
This style of AMP Fin™ is custom molded to the user's residual limb. The AMP Fin™ user will be required to visit his/her prosthetist for a simple casting procedure. The mold is then sent to us for the fabrication process to take place. Custom fins can be made for both above and below knee amputees.
